 To Whom It May Concern, 

I write this letter with a heavy heart to share with you about Girls on the Run Red River Valley.  As you know Girls on the Run Red River Valley has been in this community for 5 years and been proven a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls age eight to thirteen years old.

As an Independent Council, we have relied on local sponsors who have the same passions and can agree that serving youth is an objective to potentially reduce the risks our young people may face.  Up until this point those dollars have not supported Girls on the Run and it has become difficult to maintain the program on limited funds.  As Girls on the Run International has increased their standards and quotas, I, as a council director, have made the hard decision that I can no longer carry out the program.

Thank you for your understanding and for allowing me and the other coaches to make a difference in your daughter’s life.
